Accommodations . . .
All Club Med villages in the North American zone (Caribbean, Mexico, Tahiti) now offer in-room telephones, televisions and personal safes. Upscale villages will also have hairdryers and mini-fridges irening boards and coffee makers. Many of them have been recently renovated for added comfort and style.
All Club Med villages offer a wide variety of sports activities. Most Club Meds have a sports team headed by a sports manager. These villages, depending on the sport and destination, offer lessons for beginners, lessons for all levels, sports equipment for you to use (without lessons) and a selection of additional cost special courses for certain disciplines, subject to availability. At all Club Med resorts the material and equipment provided is regularly maintained and renewed.
Dining
In all villages, it's the Club Med tradition to enjoy expansive buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Many villages also offer alternative dining for dinner at their specialty restaurants. Breakfasts offer an ample and nutritious array of choices while lunches and dinners feature a host of international and local dishes. Buffets become more varied and elaborate as the villages become more upscale. All Club Med resorts offer unlimited beer, wine, soft drinks and fruit drinks with your lunch and dinner. Meals are served at Club Med's traditional tables of eight, allowing you to eat with friends and even make new ones. Tables of 2, 4 and 6 people are also available in certain villages.
Children . . .
All family Club villages offer children's club facilities 6 days a week and include a variety of sports and leisure activities for all ages. Most Mini Clubs have separate areas for different groups* (i.e. 4 to 6 yrs, 6 to 8 yrs and 8 up to 12 yrs).
Here's what else you should know.....
At Club Med, accommodations are usually on a double occupancy basis. Singles will be lodged with a member of the same sex (referred to as a "share"). However, all villages offer single rooms based on space availability, usually at an additional cost (please request a single room at time of booking). Room assignments are arranged at time of arrival at the village. Children under 6 will be automatically lodged in the same room with their parents; older children will be given the option of a rollaway bed (at most family villages) or share a room with another child.
